Methil: Methil station closed to passengers on 10/01/1955 but the goods yard, which was on the other side of the building ( see image 58664 ), remained open until into the 1980s. No date for this photograph but 1969 is more than likely.

Lassodie Mill Colliery: The site of Lassodie Mill Colliery in a view looking west, with the partly landscaped former mineral line on the left running from top to bottom. The mine was served by a loop with sidings making a connection to the east end of the loop. The sidings ran from lower left to the far right, their course is not obvious. The large clumb of trees closer to the camera is, of course, the bing.

Brighouse: After a 30 year closure period Brighouse was rebuilt and reopened in 2000. Since then additional services have been added and it now sees hourly trains between Manchester and Leeds, hourly trains between Huddersfield and Bradford, and several Grand Central daily services to and from Kings Cross. 180106 calls on 16th March 2024 heading for Bradford Interchange.
