Aberdeen Harbour: The Royal Yacht 'Britannia' visits Aberdeen in 1965.

Kings Cross: E 3137 'Peter Pan' at King's Cross, waiting to depart at 06.00 with The Railway Touring Company's railtour to Whitby, steam hauled from York, at 05.38 on Wednesday, 20th March 2024. This is one of the hundred AL6 (later Class 86) locomotives built by BR at Doncaster from 1965. It entered service in January 1966 as E3137, becoming 86045 in January 1974 and then 86259 in May 1975. Withdrawn in 2003 and stored for 16 months, after restoration it began its new life in preservation in 2008. On 2nd March 2019, it completed 50,000 miles of running in preservation.

Cirencester Town: There has been some concern about the fabric of Cirencester Town station for some time. Hopefully the outcome will be better than at the Ayr Station Hotel!

Newtongrange [1st]: V2 60970 attacks the climb to Falahill as it passes through Newtongrange station on 1st May 1965. The platform buildings had been demolished earlier that year although the street level booking office would remain intact until after closure in January 1969. The station had been unstaffed since 5th December 1960.

Newbattle Viaduct: A Borders Railway service from Tweedbank runs out onto Newbattle Viaduct shortly after restarting from Newtongrange on a dull February morning in 2016. The train is approximately 9 miles short of its ultimate destination at Ednburgh Waverley. The Pentland Hills are just visible through the murk in the left background

Newcastle Central: Sunday afternoon meeting at Newcastle Central on 4 February 2024. On the left the 1132 ex - Waverley is about to leave for the south, while on the right the 1003 departure from Kings Cross has just arrived on the reverse journey.
