Description

This spartan single platform terminal station replaced the terminus of the line immediately to the north and closer to the harbour, Ardrossan Winton Pier. The platform is on the west side of the track.

Trains run to Glasgow Central. Like Ardrossan Town the station sees fewer trains than Ardrossan South Beach which is also served by trains to Largs.

There is a covered walkway to the nearby Caledonian MacBrayne ticket office and waiting room for the ferry service to Brodick Pier on Arran.

Caledonian MacBrayne - Ardrossan

The loading ramp for the ferries is built on the site of the dock gates for the Ardrossan Old Dock, now infilled and the site of the ferry car park and storage area for yachts out of the water.
