Cranley Gardens

View from a no.134 bus on Muswell Hill Road, about to cross the old Alexandra Palace branch, where the bridge parapets still exist, on 22nd April 2024. This line opened in 1873 but closed in 1954, after almost becoming part of the Northern Line. Cranley Gardens station, not opened until 1902, was on the left and survived in a derelict condition until demolished in the 1970s. A block of flats built on the site was demolished in 2023. From here to Muswell Hill the trackbed is now the second part of the Parkland Walk. Access is from a ramp on the left behind railings where the station entrance was.
