The original junction for the Whiteinch branch near Hyndland was to the east of the later Jordanhill station. The line crossed the main road to the south of the later station with a level crossing and ran west and then south to Whiteinch. Later this line was duplicated by a new line running from west of Jordanhill to Whiteinch. The section from Hyndland through Jordanhill station and over the road on a bridge was probably opened in connection with the Glasgow, Yoker and Clydebank Railway.
Was Whiteinch. The station was used as a depot during the Glasgow electrification.
