This is an area of farmed countryside.
From Broughty Ferry to Forfar.
This west facing junction was located to the east of Broughty Ferry station. The branch initially ran to the south of the Dundee and Arbroath Railway before crossing over it and entering Barnhill station.
This station had two platforms and a passing loop. The station building is now a house.
This was a single platform timber halt, the platform being on the east of the running line. The embankment remains here, but the platform has rotted away. There was a siding to the south of the station on the east side, accessible from the north.
This station had a single platform and goods yard alongside. The site is now very overgrown.

This station was to the south of the town of Kingsmuir. The station had a single paltform and was located in a deep cutting. The cutting is still there overgrown and usually fairly damp.
This west facing junction with the Arbroath and Forfar Railway was located to the east of Forfar station and goods yard. The line approached the junction in a very deep cutting, now infilled. The actual site of the junction is now derelict land.
