This line is in suburbs to the west of Edinburgh.
This line provided a service from Barnton and Craigleith.
This was the terminus of the line. The terminus was originally called Cramond Brig.
This was an intermediary station. It was originally named Barnton Gate. There were two platforms here. Its goods facilities remained open after the closure of the terminus at Barnton.
Kevin J Collins e-mailled me a photograph and this description. This "... is the main drive of the Royal High School at Davidsons Mains, looking up the main drive in the direction of Barnton. As far as I can make out, following the route of the railway, the school driveway is built on the line, albeit elevated to the level of the road now. I couldn't get a shot of the reverse angle, looking towards Davidsons Mains, because this part of the line is now peoples' gardens."
This halt was opened in 1937. Nothing remains today.
This junction was just to the North of Craigleith station. The junction faced South towards Murrayfield. The main line to Granton ran North from this junction and the 1894 branch line to Barnton headed off to the West from here. The location of the junction can be seen today.
